Many women are familiar with the term “ovarian cyst” and either know someone who has been affected by them, or have had ovarian cysts themselves. Becuase they seem to be quite benign growth, and most of them are, some can actually bring a life-threatening condition, and need to be removed before too late.

Don’t think that because you’re one of post-menopausal female patients, your doctor will give you all clear. Statistically, more than 14% of women in this group suffer from cysts.
